“I can’t thank the singing waiters team enough for making my wedding so fantastic. My friends and family are still talking now about it being ‘The best wedding ever’. That 1st call singing waiters were the most amazing thing they have seen at a wedding. I can’t thank or recommended you enough”.
“A huge thank you,the boys were amazing, utterly believable as waiters,a total surprise and their cabaret sets were spot on, I have had brilliant feed back and would not hesitate to recommend them for any event.”
The icing was certainly on the cake in Delightful Dorset last weekend for newlyweds Kate and Andy.
The happy couple chose a stunning venue for their big day and what proved to be a great fun surprise entertainment for their guests!
The venue was the impressive heritage Minterne House and Gardens situated in the heart of Dorchester.
Guests had plenty of time to wander “far from the madding crowd” around it’s famous and stunning Himalayan garden before taking their seats for the wedding breakfast in the house.
1st call singing waiters Peter and Neil disguised themselves as the venue’s real waiters helping to serve the meal before suddenly bursting into song.
There can be no doubt that this was a winning ingredient as the venue’s events manager sent us these kind words.
“Everyone (including the Staff) thought what great entertainment Peter & Neil provided.
From the moment they arrived, they were charming, personable and great fun to work with.
The ‘Singing Waiters’ went down a storm and we all agreed it was the best entertainment we’ve had at Minterne (and that’s quite an accolade as we’ve been hosting weddings here for 14 years and seen a lot of entertainment!)…Our thanks to both, they made the day.”
Congratulations Kate and Andy.
Rockbeare Manor was the one of the lovely venues where 1st Call Singing Waiters entertained.
Booked by the Bride and Groom Lauren and Alex, the particulary excitable crowd went crazy when Simon and Mike burst into song. We knew we were in for a fun one.
The guests were on the chairs and singing at the tops of their voices.
“You guys were outstanding” said Alex the groom.
Many thanks to Abbie and the team from Rockbeare Manor, Exeter Devon. They looked after us well
The city of Bath is a wonderful place to hold a special occasion particularly a wedding.
Last weekend Bath bride Nicole wanted to hold her wedding reception at a venue in the heart of historic Bath and spring a fun surprise for her daytime wedding guests.
Nicole choose the hugely popular Hilton Bath City Hotel in Walcot Street as her venue and booked 1st Call’s singing waiters to surprise her guests.
Singers Peter and Neil disguised themselves as waiting staff, helped served the meal and then during the dessert course to the delight of the guests suddenly burst into song.
They soon had everyone joining in and singing along. The highlight was without doubt when the guys performed a special song for a special a lady, the Neil Diamond hit Crackling Rose for the brides mother Rose!
1st call singing waiters enjoyed playing a small part in the big day of Nicole and Stuart and wish them every future success.
The Wedding World
The world of weddings has changed enormously in recent times, offering much more choice for a bride and groom.
First and for most a bride and groom can get married any day of the week, whereas of course, this used to be confined to just Saturdays. Furthermore, most wedding venues offer lower rates for midweek weddings.
Secondly, there is now a much greater choice of wedding venues. As well as the traditional style hotel a bride and groom can consider the likes of a Watermill, Tythe Barn, Castle, Manor House, Golf club or even a sports stadium! This certainly applies to the wonderful county of Worcestershire.
An Entertaining Worcestershire Wedding Surprise
There is also much more choice when it comes to choosing entertainment for the big day. One such option which offers something a bit different is some surprise singing waiters. ‘1st Call Entertainment’s – Singing Waiters’ have been surprising and entertaining guests at weddings, and other special events, for over 15 years and will always look forward to performing at a Worcestershire wedding. Particularly the Cathedral city of Worcester, Bromsgrove, Evesham and Kidderminster.
The singers pretend to be part of the venue’s real waiters team, they help serve the wedding meal and then when the moment feels right they suddenly, to the surprise of the assembled guests, burst into song!
The world of weddings has never been so much fun!
The historic Watermill at Priston Mill, Bath was the chosen venue last weekend, set to host the big wedding day for Jade and Adam. This wonderful wedding venue, set in a truly idyllic location offers two different buildings, in which to hold special occasions, an 18th century Tythe Barn, and an enchanting watermill. The watermill was given by King Athelstan to the monks of Bath Abbey in the 10th century, before becoming the unique wedding venue it is today.
Historic watermill wedding
The bride wanted to further impress her guests with the choice of daytime entertainment. She booked ‘1st Call Entertainment’s – Singing Waiters’, John and Clare. While the guests were enjoying their arrival drinks, downstairs of the watermill, John and Clare were secretly setting up their PA equipment upstairs ahead of the wedding meal. During the dessert course to the complete surprise of the guests, John and Clare suddenly burst into song and then entertained with a selection of infectious, upbeat party songs.
Knowing that Jade was a big fan of the musicals they also included some fabulous show songs. Jade kindly commented in an email “We had the best time, all our guests absolutely loved it and you got us all up and dancing”.
